What is hemp cannabis flower?

The genus of cannabis includes both hemp and marijuana flower. Within Cannabis itself there are 3 different species – sativa, indica, and ruderalis (which could actually be a sub-species of sativa). Hemp flower specifically is only cannabis sativa.

How is hemp cannabis flower different than cannabis flower?

While they share a species, they are very different from each other. Hemp traditionally has a lower concentration of THC, while having a higher concentration of cannabinoids (specifically CBD). This results in a plant that has low or no psychoactive properties.

Is hemp cannabis flower legal?

Yes, the 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp in the United States. While legality does vary state to state, generally the production, manufacture, and sale of hemp cannabis flower is legal. The most important rule is that the flower must be below 0.3% delta-9 THC. Delta-9 THC is one of the main compounds that contributes to the psychoactive effects of cannabis.

Can hemp cannabis flower get you high?

Hemp cannabis flower has various cannabinoids in it, but the delta-9 THC has been bred out of it. Without delta-9, you won’t receive the same psychoactive effects. You may still experience calming and/or relaxing effects due to how the cannabinoids interact with your endocannabinoid system, however that varies depending on the person and many other outside factors.

How will I feel when I smoke cannabis hemp flower?

Some say it makes them feel calmer, others say more relaxed, and for some it can help with anxiety and stress, however these are all personal anecdotal experiences. Just like others, your personal experience will vary too.

What are hemp cannabis pre-rolls?

Hemp cannabis pre-rolls are pre-rolled cigarettes or joints filled with hemp cannabis flower. The flower is ground and filled inside a cone or tube so that the consumer may easily pull one out of a pack and smoke it. Joints and cones usually have a cardboard crutch, whereas tubes have filters.

For example some might be a mix of citrus and pine and the other lemon and earth.
